Praising Jesus!

I am praising Jesus today.  My second son came to me this evening and told me that he has asked God to save him, but he wanted to know how he knew that He would save him.  I shared scripture with him and explained that belief was all that God requires and that if he believed God would save him.  I was careful with this one because the third son started following Jesus a few weeks ago and I wanted to make sure that this wasn’t just a reaction.  

My inclination was that it wasn’t a reaction because I have seen in recent months that God seems to have been dealing with him over sin in general.  He was very honest that the younger brothers conversion spurred him to consideration, and that over the last few days God has been dealing with him pretty heavily.  

Going through conversions with my kids is at the same time both exhilirating and disconcerting.  There is alot of discerning to be done.  You need to know your kids and their personalities.  I have preached the gospel to these dudes their whole life, but when the Holy Spirit opens their eyes to the truth it is an amazing thing.  I am excited and humbled by the joy and responsibility of discipling these boys.  

Praise Jesus!!!
