BMX Update!

Time for another post folks.  I know I have everyone at the edge of their seats just chomping at the bit for me to post something new (yeah right!).  Here it is though.  Last weekend we went to Louisville KY to participate in the National Bicycle League Grand National BMX Race, otherwise known as the NBL Grands.  It was a fun weekend away we also were able get some business done in Louisville on Thursday before the Grands.  This whole trip was our vacation more or less and was really a good time.  As I Posted previously, we stayed with some friends while we were there and they were very hospitable to us.  It was amazing to see the level of competion at the races.  

Speaking of the races.  The boys had a good time and got to experience competion at a much higher level than at the local races, although the boys that beat my boys at the local track fared quite well at the Grands, so at least as they race here locally they are racing the best of the best.  Dear old dad had 26 guys in his class and managed to make it through 3 preliminary motos, quaterfinals, semifinals, and the mains.  Yeah, my first Grands and I managed to take 7th place overall.  I was pretty psyched, though anyone who knows me knows that I REALLY would have liked to win it all, but thats ok there’s always next year:)
