BMX ROCKS !!!!
Ok, not a month and a half this time. Here’s the deal, as many of you know, we are a bmx family, and what could be more exciting for a bmx family than racing at the local track?? Going to race the Grand National BMX race in Louisville, KY (our former home). Yeah that’s right..The Grands Baby!!. This is kind of a recent development. Don’t get me wrong, for the last year I have been looking forward to taking the “Kids” (of which I am the biggest) to this race, however, about a month ago things were looking pretty grim on the financial side of things. We decided to step up the homeschooling curriculum we use to the tune of over a $1000. This really put the grands on the back burner, but a couple of weeks ago I actually woke up in the morning thinking about that race. Not obsessed or anything (I had already let it go), but just thinking. Well that led me to pray about it and just offer it to God.
So as I thought and prayed about it it dawned on me that a great deal of the expense of taking this trip was in the lodging and entry fees. Therefore I figured I would just go to the boards at the website for our old track and post a request for someone to host us there..now this may not seem like a big deal, but we are a family of eight. I just left a post and my email address, so as not to be putting anyone on the spot to post on the board. The next day one of our friends and fellow riders at Derby City Bmx www.derbycitybmx.com sent me an awesome invitation to stay at their home for the weekend. Is that awesome or what? (Thanks Keith)
Then I was relating this to a guy I see at the gym everyday… I don’t even know his name… a few minutes later he came up to me and said he wanted to help sponsor us for the entry fees. Is that cool or what… He offered to bring me a check for $50. God is so good all the time. So I am getting fired up now. The problem is now that I have to get ready to race. We have been a little hit or miss lately, and this is a big deal.
So that is all I have for now.

Dude! That’s awesome. You didn’t tell me about that! How cool.
Yeah, I thought is was pretty dang cool myself. By the way thanks for stopping in stranger.
